Cyberyonder was contacted about a website redesign for Sea Horse Ranch by the owners, Barbi and Geof Breen-Gurley.  Sea Horse Ranch began operations in 1971 in Los Osos and at 300’ foot elevation has always had a remarkable view of Morro Rock and the ocean. The ranch offers safe stabling, an attentive staff and welcoming boarders.

Barbi has been an active dressage trainer and instructor since 1970. She has won numerous local, state and national championships and also serves as a Senior Dressage Judge and a Quadrille Judge.  Expert training by Barbi is available for both horse and rider and it was important to get out the message about her services as well as all the other  equine events that were being offered at the ranch.

Website Redesign Improved Search Engine Results

Barbi and Geof had a poor experience with their previous web designer and were seeing no noticeable traffic from the website that was created for them. The ranch had 38 horse stalls for rent and new boarders were desperately needed.  An in depth review of the website was able to reveal a myriad of problems ranging from no clear SEO focus for the ranch’s services, to an unresponsive website architecture that was not mobile-friendly.  The effect of the combined problems added up to very poor rankings in Google as well as other search engines for the services of Horse Boarding, Horse Training and Riding Instruction.

CyberYonder immediately came up with a game plan for a website redesign that was search engine optimized, visually appealing and mobile-friendly. To this end a Word Press website template was selected that could properly display and promote the services offered at the ranch. The WordPress platform also provided the best blogging platform available for publishing articles about all the events happening at Sea Horse Ranch and news about Barbi’s various equine activities.

The website redesign was completed quickly, since the client was desperate to improve their internet presence and search engine rankings. The recommendations by CyberYonder worked as expected and improved search engine rankings for the ranch’s services from barely showing up at all to consistently coming up on the first page for searches related to Horse Boarding, Horse Training and Rider Instruction. The client has already seen the results and has reported a noticeable increase in business across the board. They could not be happier!
